About
Camp Lead-Up (CLU) is a summer Institute held on selected college campuses designed to change, challenge and charge our youth. Through our leadership, character and career development based curriculum, students will begin proactive preparation for their careers and roles in leadership of tomorrow. CLU equips students with the necessary tools and confidence needed to close the achievement gap and be stand out members of their schools and their communities. The camp gives them a boost in confidence through interactive seminars and community service. CLU touches on life lessons and skills typically missed in the classroom. can define their future, and can change the world.
Our Mission
Camp Lead Up (CLU) is a summer leadership institute focused on facilitating the transition for at-risk minority middle school students to high school through academic support, cultural enrichment, and leadership training.
Our Vision
To change, challenge, and charge our youth in a way which prepares them for their roles of
leadership in tomorrow as well as to provide them with the tools they need to be a standout in
their schools and communities.
To help develop talents young people currently possess and direct them towards positive means
of expressing their abilities.
